Renewed call for OTC energy regs


US senators have mounted a renewed campaign to have futures regulators crack dow on the OTC energy markets.

A Long-time proponent of increased regulation of OTC markets, Senator Dianne Feinstein, along with Senators Tom Harkin, Peter Fitzgerald and others, lent support last week to proposed legislation designed to subject online energy and mineral exchanges to similar oversight requirements as traditional exchanges.
