Paper to study SSFs slow start


An academic study has set out to investigate why the US single stock futures market has so far failed to take off in the way many predicted.

Former president of technology firm TruExchange Michael Fertik, currently studying law at Harvard is undertaking the study under the auspices of a John Olin fellowship in law and economics.

Fertik told FO Week that the study, conceived prior to the launch of the products last year, as investigation predicated on the imminent break-out success" of SSFs.
