SEC approves CBOE hybrid


Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is set to launch its hybrid trading system on Thursday after receiving approval from Securities and Exchange Commission.

The so-called CBOEdirect HyTs will integrate floor and screen-based options trading.

CBOE officials say this system can recoup some of the market share it has lost on individual options to all-electronic International Securities Exchange (ISE), now top volume US equity options exchange.
