John Fraser, global chairman and ceo of UBS global asset management, is to resign his post as non-executive director of Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), effective 30 June. Fraser has been an ASX board member since 1997. Prior to joining UBS, he had a twenty-year career with Australian Treasury including a role representing Australian economic interests at International Monetary Fund and as the economic minister at the Australian embassy in Washington. Fraser has been resident in London since early 2002.
