CFTC may alter margin rule

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) last Monday proposed rule changes that will allow FCMs to invest customer funds using repurchase agreements and collateral management programs.

If the proposal is enacted, industry sources say it will allow FCMs to make better use of customer margins.
