Charles "Harry" Falk has made his temporary position as president and ceo of New York Board of Trade (Nybot) permanent. When interviewed by FO Week in May, Falk, who was also serving as chairman of the exchange, said an executive search to find a permanent ceo was well underway. However, he also cautioned that potential offers to buy Nybot may complicate matters. Falk took the reigns following the departure of Mark Fichtel over a year ago. Patrick Gambaro, who was tipped by some to take the ceo position, has instead been made coo, a job he had been performing on a temporary basis. Frederick Schoenhut, who has been serving as vice chairman, was elected to the position of chairman; Roger Corrado has been named vice chairman; and Alfred Mascia has been re-elected a treasurer.
