London Metal Exchange has altered its rules regarding the procedure for the establishment of the closing price of traded options, sister publication Metal Bulletin reported last week. The changes require members who actively trade a reasonable volume of traded options to present volatility quotes on a daily basis to the LME executive. This was previously done on a voluntary basis.
New York Mercantile Exchange launched four natural gas basis swap futures contracts at the end of last week: Texas Eastern Transmission East Louisiana and South Texas zones; Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Zone 3; and Columbia Gulf Transmission onshore basis swap.
