New Zealand Exchange (NZX) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) have been added to the FTSE/MV Exchange Index, the world's first index that tracks listed exchanges. The index now has 12 constituent stocks, up from seven when it was launched in August 2001. The top stocks by market capitalisation are Deutsche Bourse with 37.2% of the index, Euronext (17.6%), London Stock Exchange (10.4%) and Hong Kong Exchange (9.8%). The remaining stocks are Australian Stock Exchange, CME, Hellenic Exchanges, New Zealand Exchange, OM, Sydney Futures Exchange, Singapore Exchange and TSX Group.

Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) is to launch a wool futures contract shortly, which will compete against Sydney Futures Exchange's 43-year old contract. Australian Commodity Investments (ACI) will assist in the development of the product. ACI principals include Man Financial.
