ICE to supply US emissions market platform


IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) is to supply an electronic trading system to Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), the US venture for trading greenhouse gas emissions credits due to begin trading in October.

The energy firms which use ICE are likely to be among the major users of emissions markets if environmental laws require them to cut their carbon emissions.
