IPE volumes stay firmly on floor


Side-by-side trading of International Petroleum Exchange (IPE)'s flagship Brent crude futures got off to a slow start last week, amid continued unrest among members divided over the much-delayed migration to electronic trading.

In the first three days of parallel trading, 8,467 Brent futures traded electronically, only around 3% of the floor-traded volume of 279,759.
