Eurex is getting some strong support from certain quarters of the US futures industry. In a statement that was due to have been presented at the postponed Congressional hearing in Washington, Futures Industry Association president John Damgard said that by establishing an exchange in the US, Eurex was "essentially offering to repatriate a significant portion of its volume that is attributable to US participants."
