Eurex is shortening the trading hours for its equity options and equity index options with effect from 3 November. Currently traded until 8.00pm CET, trading in German and US equity options, EXTF options (euro-denominated), options on indices including the Dax, TecDax, Nemax 50 and DJ Global Titans will now end at 5.30pm. Finnish equity options and HEX25 index options will be traded until 6.30. From the same date, OTC block trades and vola trades for all equity-based option products will be permitted to be entered until 8.00pm during the post-trading phase. Eurex said it was introducing these changes in response to requests from many market participants.
