Patrick Birley, former ceo of South Africa Futures Exchange who relocated to London, has resurfaced at FTSE Group where he is operations director.
Orc Software has named Patrik Ristner as head of its new Chicago office (see also Briefs). Ristner was most recently a trader for Van der Moolen in Germany and has also been head trader, responsible for equity derivatives market making and arbitrage trading, at JP Nordiska in Sweden.
Software firm Actant has announced a number of senior management changes. Urs Rutschmann, who joined the firm in August as head of sales and marketing, has been appointed ceo. Paren Knadjian, formerly ceo based in Europe, has relocated to the US to take up the position of president of Actant North American in order to lead business developments for US markets.
