November volumes


Eurex traded 74.5m contracts during November to bring its total year-to-date volume to 949m by the end of the month. At 202m, more contracts than traded in January-November 2002, this is a 27% increase on last year's levels.

During the month, a total of 39m fixed-income products were traded, 16.5m of those being Euro Bund futures, 20% up on November 2002. A 19% year-on-year increase in the Euro Bobl future gave the contract a volume of 10.5m. The exchange's Euro Schatz contract saw lower growth, up 9% to 8.5m.
