CME shadows Liffe's Eurodollar launch


Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) last week announced further developments in electronic Eurodollar trading - introducing options to the Globex platform - as competition finally got underway with the launch of Euronext Liffe's Eurodollar products.

Liffe's launch, on 18 March, saw 13,720 futures and 206 options traded by the close. A spokesperson for the exchange was bullish, claiming that the new products had seen "tight spreads...
