Fallout follows bond volatility
Recent volatility in world bond markets has forced some players to the sidelines of bond futures markets, judging by a significant tailing off of futures open interest in recent weeks.
Volume in Liffe's long gilt and Bund futures dropped 18% and 13% respectively from March to the end of April.
