ISE opts for IPO


International Securities Exchange (ISE) plans to issue shares in an initial public offering (IPO), despite widespread speculation that it had been in talks about selling to other exchanges, including Eurex and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

Eurex did not comment on the speculation or on whether it was interested in entering the equity options arena. However, a source close to the exchange told FO Week that it had had preliminary discussions about a takeover but that these had not reached an advanced stage before both parties...
