Can ISE be the next Wall Street darling?


International Securities Exchange (ISE)'s announcement that it would be going public in the second half of this year is being met with interest and general optimism by market participants.
ISE said it will launch its IPO in the second half of the year. The company is now in a quiet period until 25 days after its public listing. A spokesperson could not comment any further on the exchange's plans heading forward.

But options industry participants said there are several factors that favour ISE as it prepares for its roadshow. It is close to overtaking CBOE as the top US options exchange bu overall volume. As the first fully electronic US options exchange, it has also introduced new efficiencies to the marketplace.
