Volatility tests Indian futures

Record volatility is putting India's equity futures and options industry to its biggest test since it was launched in June 2000.
Last week's surprise election win by a socialist-leaning coalition saw intra-day falls in the stock market of 17% and bounces of more than 5%. Market sources said the derivatives market was so far coping with the turmoil.
