Eurex US last week told the UK trading community to expect a new package of trading incentives in the next two weeks.
On his first official visit to London, Eurex US ceo Satish Nandapurkar held a meeting with trading firms, fuelling speculation about a forthcoming range of initiatives to kick-start the exchange. While Eurex has remained tight-lipped on the subject, sources have suggested that it plans effectively to relaunch its US subsidiary in the near future, with possible measures including a fee holiday (see FO Week vol 9 nos 12, 21).
