Volume growth continued unabated on Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) in May, the exchange producing a third consecutive monthly best, driven by strong Treasury volumes.
CBoT posted a May total of 55.1m contracts, up 25.9% from May 2003. Year-to-date volume is up 44.7 % on last year.
This included CBoT's two best single sessions ever - 4.4m contracts changing hands on 7 May and 4.2m trading on 27 May.
