Flipper issue highlights Eurex clearing link problems

Issues highlighted by the recent dispute over the so-called 'flipper' (see FO Week Vol 9 No 8) have given Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) cause for concern regarding Eurex US's much needed clearing link. CFTC commissioner Sharon Brown-Hruska said that the amount of information supplied by Eurex in relation to large volume trader activities was an issue in authorising the link.
