Euronext Liffe announced that its Eurodollar futures and options have traded over one million contracts since their launch on 18 March. Liffe's Eurodollar future traded 351,249 contracts in June, with an average daily volume of 15,699.
Bursa Malaysia Derivatives encountered technical difficulties in its system on 12 July, causing a 45-minute delay in opening the market. According to the exchange, the system and services were restored at 9.30am (the market normally opens at 8.45am) and the delay in opening did not cause any disruption to the market.
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) said last week that Agriliance has agreed to act as market maker for the electronically-traded fertiliser contracts launched last month. Agriliance markets crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed and related technical services to farmers and ranchers through local cooperatives and independent retailers in all 50 US states, Canada and Mexico.
