Eurex to push ahead with anti-trust suit


Eurex officials are poised to push ahead with their anti-trust lawsuit against Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and some legal experts believe that Eurex may have enough of a case to take it to the next stage.

Eurex filed its anti-trust suit against the Chicago exchanges last October, accusing CBoT and CME of a number of illegal activities it claims were aimed to keep Eurex US from competing. Both sides are awaiting a ruling on the Chicago exchanges' request to dismiss the case.
