CBoT members ready to end suit


Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) members were last week confident that they will receive court approval next month in what is expected to be the final ruling regarding the allocation of minority shareholder shares.

CBoT chairman Charlie Carey recently appealed to full members for written support for the allocation of shares in hopes that the court heeds the wishes of full and associate members (see FO Week Vol 9 No 33). Some 850 - 860 full members out of 1,402 had signed a document supporting the allocation of shares for the court by 18 August and sources say that figure now tops 1,000.
