You mentioned getting to grips with the issues facing the exchange. What would you say were the primary issues you have come across so far?

A number of things. We're very fortunate as a valuable franchise that we've got numerous business opportunities. We're evaluating things that we're doing internally in terms of new products, new technology and evaluating and prioritising external options. And then the energy markets have been quite active lately.

The external opportunities you mentioned have been the one in the news recently because of the rejection of the Parthenon bid. Was that just a timing issue?

Yes. We turned down that offer, but developed a very good working relationship with the leaders of Parthenon. It was not good timing in terms of what we're looking at right now, but we left the door open to work with them in the future should we ever get to that...
