Breakneck growth at Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex) is attracting international brokerages, including JP Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston's (CSFB), to establish a foothold in the market.
Nick Forgan, JP Morgan's Head of Futures for Singapore and South East Asia confirmed to FO Week that JP Morgan has applied to join Taifex and should be operational by fourth quarter 2004. The Taiwan business will come under Forgan's remit.
