The greatest no-show on earth
Conference organisers putting on an exchange heads panel must be wondering whether it's worth bothering to book Rudi Ferscha, after he ducked out of yet another high profile engagement at this year's Bürgenstock - yes, the same 25th Anniversary Bürgenstock with Friday entertainment sponsored by Eurex (more on that later). The circumstances of his absence from the panel were a little unclear - the official explanation from SFOA was that he had become unable to attend at the last minute, but some delegates appeared to have been expecting it for several days. Whatever the reason, the vacancy was ably filled by a representative from Eurex member firm Timber Hill - who promptly got stuck in to the amount of internalisation allowed in European markets. Perhaps Rudi will find time in his busy schedule for this sort of thing in future.
