CCX gets futures exchange approval

Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) has received regulatory approval to launch its Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE).
The move gives CCX a cash and now futures exchange with which to draw business for its emissions credits contracts. CCX also has a deal with International Petroleum Exchange to trade spot and futures emissions contracts on European Climate Exchange (ECX) by year end.
