CME to open Singapore hub


Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will establish its first Asian telecommunications hub, in Singapore, in the second quarter of 2005.

The move has been welcomed by many in the Singapore futures community. "SGX locals are literally clamouring to get connected to global exchanges," Dean Owen, Singapore desk manager at Calyon Financial told FO Week.
