CME looks to house price futures


Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is planning to develop derivatives based on housing price indices, following a deal struck with Macro Securities Research (MSR).

The new contracts under consideration will be based on the Fiserv CSW family of housing price indices (HPI), which track price trends in major metropolitan areas around the US.
