Icap wins in Espeed patent case

Icap scored a victory last week in the patent suit filed against its subsidiary BrokerTec by rival Cantor Fitzgerald. In New York, a judge ruled that BrokerTec did not infringe on a patent held by Cantor's subsidiary Espeed.

The case is being appealed by Espeed. However, the initial victory has been rated a major win for Icap by many observers.
