A very rum diaryYou might remember last year's launch of Trader Monthly magazine - a rag aimed squarely at the supposed interests of the trading community, viz money, cars, money, luxury goods, women and money. Well I'd more or less forgotten about it (not much chance of me upgrading my 1987 Austin Maestro on my salary), but it now seems that the mag has reached the mainstream: a media focus website has described the publications as "the illegitimate offspring of a three-way between Institutional Investor, The Robb Report (aka Lucky for excessively conspicuous consumers), and a particularly vile back issue of Maxim." Charming. Still, having seen the most recent issue of Trader Monthly I am somewhat less inclined to be sympathetic. Proudly flagged up in the contents is an article about one Paul Rotter, who you might remember as the trader fingered by angry Locals in last year's 'flipper' controversy....
