Wild excitement in Boca Raton last week as FIA inducted the founder members of its Futures Hall of Fame. A great honour indeed, although I was slightly miffed to discover that my name had been omitted. Presumably an oversight, and not one I am going to get worked up about (though I suspect I didn't do my chances any favours by eschewing attendance of the Boca do in favour of decamping to the Cheltenham festival to lose some more of my ex-wife's money on a succession of three-legged horses surely bound for the glue factory). But I can't begrudge any of the illustrious names on the list their immortality, even if quite a few of them didn't make it along...
