Nybot considers new cooperative structure


New York Board of Trade (Nybot) has been weighing the possibility of becoming the first exchange to operate as a cooperative structure and has hired investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman to help it determine a new business model.

Nybot president and chief executive Harry Falk told FO Week that it has been considering a move from its current not-for-profit status to a co-op, but exchange officials do not feel pressure to make an immediate change.
