Bank "was told" of Baring exposure
Bank of England (BoE)'s "independent" report on the collapse of Barings, due out in mid-July, could reveal details that will embarrass the UK banking regulator, sources say. Apparently, the report could reveal that BoE officials were informed of Barings' extraordinarily large exposure to the Japanese futures markets some time before the collapse occurred.
