Singapore and Taiwan in equity index futures tussle

A tussle has been brewing between the Singapore and Taiwan governments over Taiwanese equity index futures offered by exchanges in both countries.
Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has become increasingly worried about Singapore Exchange (SGX)'s MSCI Taiwan contract after it was successfully moved from open outcry to electronic trading in April, according to FO Week sources who requested anonymity, citing government sensitivity over the issue.
