Australians look to local retail


Two boutique derivatives brokers have separately geared up to capitalise on Australia's booming retail trading community as local markets keep reaching record highs.

A specialist warrant broker, Commodity Warrants Australia (CWA), was launched last month by Guy Bower, an option trader and former fund manager, to cater to growing interest in commodities trading.

Backed by private equity capital, the firm was set up to issue commodity warrants to sophisticated retail clients who use the products as a leveraged, long term trading tool.
