My kind of guyI was very interested to read about the ongoing good fortune of Australian futures figure Max Whitby, which you can also keep up with elsewhere in this publication. Now it may seem a trifle strange to you that I should take an interest in matters Antipodean - other than the cricket that is - but in this case my interest was piqued by some of Whitby's more unusual side projects: according to FO Week's man in Sydney, a fair chunk of his cash came from winnings at the horses and the sale of the "infamous" Bourbon and Beefsteak pub in the city's red light district.
