CBOE launches index, options


Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has announced two new index options contracts and a deal with Nasdaq to create a BuyWrite index.

The exchange told delegates at Swiss Futures and Options Association's conference in Burgenstock on 9 September that it will launch a new mini-SPX options contract, based on the Standard and Poor's 500 Index, on 25 October.
