Beer hearThere are some naysayers out there who have claimed that Eurex are not the best at pitching things to their desired audience. Witness, to name but one, the resentment felt by certain parts of the Chicago trading community when the exchange had its fanfare launch for Eurex US, featuring, as we all no doubt remember, lights, parties, freebies and, for all I know, dancing girls and the massed bands of the brigade of guards. Intended, no doubt, to show what a serious attempt they were making to crack the US market, the actual consequence was a lot of disgruntled Americans muttering, "Who do they think they are?" and sticking with CBoT. However, I have never been one of these anti-Eurex sorts - you may not recall now, but I'm pretty certain that I have never suggested anything other than that they're a tip...
