Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has won its copyright infringement case over New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) regarding the use of Nymex settlement prices.
US District Court for Southern District of New York ruled in favor of ICE on 30 September, refuting infringement claims by Nymex regarding ICE's use of settlement prices for Nymex's Henry Hub natural gas and light, sweet crude oil and other related Nymex trademarks in its OTC derivatives contracts.
