The supervisory board of Deutsche Börse has confirmed Reto Francioni as CEO and member of its executive board of directors. Francioni's appointment to the role has been expected ever since his recommendation to the board in September (see FO Week Vol 10 No 37). He joins
from SWX Swiss Exchange where he was chairman, and will take up his new appointment at "the earliest possible date," Deutsche Börse said. The board has also elected Kurt Viermetz as chairman, replacing Rolf Breuer, with effect immediately.
