Man refutes PAAM charges


Man Financial has filed a legal response denying the contempt of court motion lodged against the firm by hedge fund Philadelphia Alternative Asset Management (PAAM) receiver Clark Hodgson, as well as the allegations of collusion in fraud contained in Hodgson's documents.

According to Eastern District of Pennsylvania Court documents, Man Financial has insisted that it was more than sufficiently compliant in its legal obligations to provide Hodgson with documents pertaining to the alleged fraud perpetrated by PAAM manager Paul Eustace.  

In addition, the firm's lawyers cited the fact that Commodity Futures Trading Commission [CFTC] has not joined Hodgson's motion as a vindication of its full compliance.
