Can you tell me what it was in the first place about CME and the trading floor that made you want to be there?
I am a journalist by training so I work out of my home. A friend of mine, who also worked from home, was a day trader, trading options on screen and doing well until the bubble burst in 2000. Then she started losing rapidly and kept bemoaning the fact that she owned, as an investment, a seat at Chicago Board of Trade [CBoT] and that traders there were profiting from the bubble bursting. I didn't understand what that meant at all, but I said 'you know how to trade, go use it'. She said she was afraid to, which really piqued my interest - what could a woman in this day and age be afraid of when she knew how to trade?
