China passes new derivatives laws

China has approved several significant securities and derivatives law revisions that will take effect from the start of next year.
The new laws effectively leave room for the introduction of financial futures and options as well as enabling banking, securities and insurance businesses to be more integrated and liberalising equity market trading.
