Eurex has announced sales revenue of €124.2m for the third quarter, an increase of 28% year-on-year. EBIT amounted to €62.9m, up 63% from the €38.7m achieved for the same period last year.
New York Mercantile Exchange has reported that 139.3m futures contracts were traded during October, surpassing the 133.3m record volume set last year. Total options volume also surpassed last year with a record of just under 31m contracts. Further monthly volume records were achieved in palladium futures, copper contracts and crude oil options. In addition, a record 20,350 light, sweet crude oil calendar spread options contracts were traded on 1 November, surpassing the previous record of 12,600 contracts traded on 11 November last year.
