Meat and greetYou may be surprised to learn that I didn't make it over to Chicago for this year's FIA show. I would like to explain fully my reasons for missing out, but to be honest a lot of the detail is sub judice at the moment and I can't really go into it. Suffice to say certain activities in my past have come to the attention of the US authorities and that has made it rather harder than it might have been in previous years to obtain the necessary visa. I would like to blame it all on an over-zealous clampdown on overseas visitors but to be honest even I can't deny that there are one or two black spots on my CV, especially when it comes to the later days in Papua New Guinea....
