Shapiro will quit CFTC in January
Mary Shapiro announced last week that she will be leaving Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on 26 January 1996 - putting an end to three weeks of speculation. Shapiro has been CFTC chairman for just over a year and is taking up a newly created post as president of NASD regulation.
