Readers' rights
As I'm sure you can imagine, it's been a long, long time since I attended journalism school. Even longer, in fact, than it's been since I was supposed to attend journalism school. Therefore my understanding of our obligations and so forth is, to but it mildly, hazy, so when one of my superiors contacted me this week and told me I have to provide right to reply in this column by printing some reader letters I had to ask the obvious question: am I still going to get paid a word rate for other people's contributions? Having received a satisfactory answer to that query, I am more than happy to bring you this week some of the thoughts of my readership. And what a strange crowd you are. Here goes:
